Our goal is to share details about public pickleball courts in and around the Phoenix area, where any pickleball player can play with no fees or memberships required to play.
If you are looking for a pro-level experience at a public facility, Gilbert Regional Park pickleball is hard to beat. This large 16 court complex is a flagship destination for the East Valley, featuring high-quality surfaces, dedicated fencing between courts, and a scenic backdrop of the San Tan Mountains.
The facility is free to use and features professional-grade lighting that allows for play well into the evening. Because of its scale and the quality of the “pro-style” layout, it has quickly become a favorite for both social recreational play and organized local tournaments.
We have visited the Gilbert Regional facility first-hand to provide you with the most current 2026 details. In the guide below, we cover the facility amenities, plus parking, restrooms, and the nearby amenities that make this park a perfect spot for a full day of play.
The park has a number of amenities that will almost certainly satisfy the athletic interests of most any visitor. The highlights of the park amenities to date include a 17-foot-tall state-of-the-art playground equipped with three levels of climbing features, multiple entrances, seven different slides, as well as swings, and a zip line.
If that wasn’t enough, there is also a 4,000 square foot splash pad for the kiddos with 57 interactive water features that range from large splash buckets to smaller jets and sprays for our tiniest park goers.
For sports courts, there are Basketball courts, Tennis courts, Sand Volleyball courts, and of course many, many pickleball courts.
