Encanto Park Phoenix Pickleball: A Guide to This Historic Sports Complex in Phoenix

Encanto Park pickleball courts

Our goal is to share details about public pickleball courts in and around the Phoenix area, where any pickleball player can play with no fees or memberships required to play.

Located in the heart of the city, Encanto Park Phoenix pickleball courts offers one of the most unique and community-driven atmospheres in Phoenix. While it is smaller than some of the larger pickleball facilities in Phoenix, the Encanto Sports Complex is a favorite for local players who value is central location and historic park setting.

Currently, the facility features 3 dedicated, lighted outdoor pickleball courts that are free to the public. However, the big news for 2026 is the community-led “Encanto Pickleballers Coalition” expansion project, which aims to add a 4th court to help meet the growing demand at this popular downtown spot.

We have visited Encanto Park first-hand to provide you with the latest details on court conditions, lighting schedules (on until 10:00 PM), and the best times to find a game. Whether you’re a downtown local or just visiting, here is everything you need to know before you head to the courts.

The Encanto Sports Complex includes a lighted softball field, three lighted Basketball courts, six lighted Volleyball courts (4 concrete and 2 sand), eight lighted tennis courts, eight lighted racquetball courts, a community pool, and of course the pickleball courts.

How Many Pickleball Courts Are at Encanto Park Phoenix?

Encanto Park Phoenix

The Encanto Park Phoenix AZ pickleball facility includes 3 outdoor dedicated courts with permanent lines and lights for evening play on these courts.  The pickleball courts at Encanto Park seem like a small facility because the courts are tucked in an area next to the tennis courts and separated by a wall from the sand volleyball courts.

These pickleball courts at Encanto Sports Complex are popular with the locals both because they are some of the only public courts in the area and the facilities are really top notch as I mentioned earlier.

Because there are only three Encanto Park pickleball courts that get very busy, the paddle system for the “next game” is well organized here and respected by regular players at this facility.  If you are staying in or around the Downtown Phoenix area, make sure to stop by if you have time to play.
